Nottinghamshire Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after fuel was allegedly stolen from a petrol station in Hucknall. The incident took place at around 1.00 pm on Friday 15 March.

Officers say that a blue BMW drove into the Hucknall Bypass Filling Station in Watnall Road, Hucknall. The driver filled it with around £90 of fuel before driving off without payment. The BMW was displaying false number plates.

The Hucknall Bypass Filling station is branded as a Texaco site.

“Fuel thefts like this one can have a real impact on people’s livelihoods, in the form of taking money from local businesses”, Sergeant Philip Ridley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said. “In this case, nearly £100 worth of fuel was stolen from the pumps, with the suspect then driving away without making any attempts to pay.

“This is clearly unacceptable, so we’d urge anyone who was in and around this area at the time and might have seen what happened, to get in touch.”
