Fans of Marvel’s Deadpool movies won’t have to wait long after the release of the latest instalment before they can watch it in Ashfield’s cinema. The first screening of Deadpool & Wolverine in The Arc, Hucknall, will take place five minutes after midnight on release day: 25 July.

Deadpool & Wolverine is the sequel to the 2016 movie Deadpool and the 2018 follow-up Deadpool 2. It is the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the first to be distributed by Disney. Parents are advised that the film is not the type usually associated with Disney. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has given the film a 15 rating; and there are seven expletives in the film’s 2 minute, 40 second official trailer.

Staring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine, the movie also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen.

The storyline sees Wade Wilson living a quiet life, having left his time as the mercenary Deadpool behind him, until the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organisation that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline, pulls him into a new mission. With his home universe facing an existential threat, he reluctantly joins with an even more reluctant Wolverine on a mission which will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

As well as the first screening, at five minutes past midnight in the early hours of 25 July, The Arc have announced 12 more screenings between 25 and 28 July. More screenings are expected to be added closer to the release date.
