Ashfield civic dignitaries and war veterans were at St Wilfrid’s Church in Kirkby yesterday (Thursday) to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day (Operation Overlord). The church played host to Ashfield District Council’s civic service to commemorate the anniversary.
