Global pop sensation Taylor Swift – *or rather a Taylor Swift tribute act – is one of the attractions at this year’s Hucknall Fest, which takes place on Saturday 6 July. In addition to Swift, who is currently wowing millions of fans around the world on her Eras tour, tribute acts of Rag n Bone Man, Blur, Oasis, and Amy Winehouse will all take to the stage from midday to 9.00 pm.
In addition to the tribute acts, a real-life star will take to the stage: Lindsay Dracass represented the United Kingdom in the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest, coming fifteenth out of 22 with the song No Dream Impossible.
The musical acts mark the first time a mini music festival has been held at Titchfield Park.
Away from the music, visitors to Hucknall Fest can enjoy a funfair, inflatables, face painting and balloon modelling.
If the weather is good – the BBC are currently predicting light rain and a moderate breeze in Hucknall on 6 July – there will be a dog show and meet and greats with Disney princess and Paw Patrol.
The festival will also include “a bustling market village filled with local businesses and crafters”, as well as ice cream vans, a bar, and a food court “with a variety of different cuisines to make sure nobody goes home hungry”, Ashfield District Council said.
“We are really pleased to be bringing the first ever Hucknall Fest to Titchfield Park”, John Bennett, the council’s executive director of place, said. “It’s going to be a fantastic day for the whole family.
“This is just one of Ashfield District Council’s fabulous free events that we are hosting this year. Keep your eyes on our social media and website for more details of upcoming events.”
