A drug dealer has been jailed after being caught by Nottinghamshire Police twice in the space of 15 days. Neil Bramley, 33, of Swanson Avenue in Huthwaite, was pulled over by the police on the A38 in Sutton in Ashfield on 3 November last year, after intelligence reports linked his BMW to the supply of drugs.

Police seized 40 bags of cocaine, mobile phones and cash which they discovered in a search of the vehicle.

Just over two weeks later, the BMW was spotted in the car park of the Asda supermarket in Sutton’s Priestsic Road. Officers stopped the vehicle a short time later in Stoneyford Road, and a search of the vehicle found more bags of cocaine.

On Tuesday, a judge at Nottingham Crown Court jailed Bramley for two years and eight months after he admitted two counts of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

“Class A drugs destroy lives and continue to have a devastating impact on communities”, Inspector Graham Clarke said. “That is why officers on patrol in our neighbourhoods will always be on the look out for those looking to make a profit by selling drugs on the streets to vulnerable people.”
