A Teversal man has suffered a broken eye socket and other facial injuries after confronting a violent BMW driver. The 59 year old man was at his home in Norwood Lane when he heard shouting. He went outside and saw his partner and a BMW driver shouting.

The partner, who had been walking the couple’s dogs, had been challenging the driver to slow down. The argument continued and resulted in the victim being punched three times by the driver, Nottinghamshire Police said.

They say that they have “pursued a number of lines of inquiry to trace the attacker” since what they are describing as “a road rage incident” happened on 8 May, and they are now appealing for the public’s help.

“This was a nasty assault and we are doing everything we can to trace the person responsible”, PC Ross Elms said. “As part of our inquiries, we are releasing an image of a man who we believe can assist the investigation.

“If you are the man in this image, or if you know who he is, please contact us on 101, quoting crime number 24*268526.” Alternatively, people with information can contact Crimestoppers in confidence by calling 0800 555 111.
