6 July: Hucknall Fest

Titchfield Park

Hucknall’s Titchfield Park is hosting this brand-new event from 11.00 am to 10.00 pm. There will be a live music stage jam-packed with tribute acts to various bands and artists playing until 9.00 pm.

Elsewhere on the park, there will be a huge family funfair, food and drink catering, market stalls to shop, a dog agility course, free face painting, and meet and greet with children’s characters.

20 July: Scrumfest

Larwood Park, Kirkby in Ashfield

The live music festival will bring tribute bands and original artists, including Queen Reloaded, Fleetwood Mac Covered, The Score Live, Briony Gunn, King of Rome and Warren Ireland, plus DJ Stevie Fearn to Larwood Park, the home of Ashfield Rugby Club.

Other attractions at the event, which begins at 11.30 am, include rugby games, fun fair, inflatables, laser tag, food and drink stalls.

Tickets cost £15.00 for adults, £5.00 for children and £35.00 for families and are available from Eventbrite.


23 July: Author Event with Milly Johnson

Sutton in Ashfield Library

The Happiest Ever After is the 21st novel by Sunday Times Top 10 best-selling author Milly Johnson. It will be published in paperback on 18 July and a few days later Milly Johnson will be at Sutton Library to meet fans and discuss the book.

27 July: Mamma Mia! Abba Outdoor Experience

Newstead Abbey

Immerse yourself in the world of the hit musical Mamma Mia! and sing your heart out to ABBA’s greatest hits as you watch and singalong to the movie on a huge open-air screen with the stunning backdrop of Newstead Abbey.

Enjoy a picnic* in the grounds from 8.00 pm ahead of the screening, which will begin shortly after sunset, at around 9.30 pm.

*No glasses: Plastic and paper cups only. Wine / beer bottles are allowed but please take them home and recycle them.
