6 June: D-Day 80th Anniversary
Marking the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, The Arc in Hucknall are showing Saving Private Ryan, the 1998 film which tells a fictional account, based on true events, about a group of US soldiers who go behind enemy lines to retrieve a paratrooper whose brothers have been killed in action.
The main screening will take place at 7.40 pm with a Silver Screen showing at 3.00 pm.

Other events throughout the day, which runs from midday to 10.00 pm, include acoustic acts playing in the café, inflatables, free face painting, and a bar.
